Grocery Bag Take 2

DSC_3090-1
First off, sorry for the poor photos. We are having some crazy stormy weather today. It is unbelievably dark out and hailing at the moment. Not to mention they had a tornado south of us in Aumsville, Oregon.
I much happier with the overall size of the bag. Finished dimensions are 14 1/4" high x 11"wide x 7"deep. I made patchwork squares smaller in width so I now have 6 per side.DSC_3088-1DSC_3086-1DSC_3069-1
Colin and I have been taking turns sewing, I think it is very kind of him to let me know when it is my turn again :)DSC_3072-1 He was super excited about me having the camera out so I graciously let him take one of me. Not bad for no makeup and an awkward angle. I am amazed he can even hold the camera up and get us in the frame :)DSC_3075-1Time to go wrap some presents, which means I need to have National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation playing on the television.

Happy Father's Day DSC_7381-1

to my Mr. and all the other amazing dad's out there. I think it is often taken for granted how important dad's really are to children. For Colin his daddy is his the coolest, smartest, and funniest person in the world. He is a daddy's boy and I am okay with that. It makes my heart melt just watching the two of them together.

Dino's at the Zoo

DSC_9341-1 DSC_9262-1 DSC_9278-1 DSC_9285-1 DSC_9296-1 DSC_9300-1 DSC_9304-1 DSC_9311-1 DSC_9313-1 DSC_9317-1 DSC_9323-1 DSC_9328-1 DSC_9330-1

It was a very emotion filled trip to the zoo for Colin. I will admit that some of the dinosaurs were scary and very life like with all of their life like movements. Not to mention the spitting ones that sprayed water at you. I think the sounds were the worst for Colin. He kept saying "oh, no!" and we explained every time that they were just robots that looked like dinosaurs :)

A Special Visit

Please excuse me while I play catch up with some photos. My Uncle Mike was in town from Florida and it happened to be my Uncle Jim's birthday. Those two events defiantly called for a family gathering. Unfortunately not everyone could make it including some baked beans that jumped out along the journey to Grandma's house.

Colin took this photo :)DSC_8867-1

The birthday boy, Uncle Jim.  He is a wonderful man so much so that we gave Colin part of his name...Colin James :) Have I mentioned that he is single??? (I will probably get a phone call for that comment)DSC_8826-1   DSC_8846-1

The boys and everyone else loved the cake. Costco cake is delicious.

I didn't get a lot of pictures taken, what I do have Brett took most of them. I was to busy chatting :)

Fishy Pajamas

DSC_8891-1DSC_8889-1

Fishy pajama's for a very special 2 year old.

Brice (Christina's son) turned two last Saturday. He is a wonderful "little boy", since he is official not a baby anymore. He is: super smart, playful, adorable, and darn that kid can entertain himself for what seems like an eternity compared to Colin :) DSC_8924-1 DSC_8973-1They are the best of buds and it is a lot of fun watching them play together. DSC_9011-1They got to have "happy-happy", as Colin calls it, twice in one day.

Colin had a blast driving Brice's Jeep around.DSC_8911-1

Have I mentioned how much he loves Jeeps? He points them out ever time he sees one :)
